Pray for Boston

My heart feels so, so heavy right now. As a runner, I wholeheartedly believe that every runner is a part of a family. And our family has been attacked. This is such a supportive community, and that is the only thing that makes this tragedy somewhat bearable. Hearing the wonderful stories about people running to help – both literally and figuratively – in the midst of pure terror, is truly inspiring.

There isn’t really much to say that hasn’t already been said. And right now, all I want to do is cuddle up next to my loved ones and pray.

My editor-in-chief, Betty Wong, posted something on Twitter today that I wholeheartedly believe:

“Run for your health, for sport, for joy. It should never be for fear. Heartbroken.”

My thoughts and prayers go out to every single person affected today <3
